I was alone at my apartment, there were also 3 dogs there, I was scared because in this there was a ghost, there was a bulge in the wall and I realized I had stored some items in there before that I forgot. I took one out, it was a tall candle shaped like a lamp, I took it and placed it on a table, I turned around for a moment and when I looked back the lamp candle was moved and it was broken with the shade off, I thought it was the ghost so started yelling at at, then a piece of the broken lamp was floating and wagging at me like a finger than poked me in the face. I tried to call my sister to come over but she was at an airport about to board a plane to somewhere, i think some neighbors came by ? Two people but then we all got possessed by the ghost , someone who was my mother in the dream but not my actual mother came and I was trying to convince her to call a priest to do an exorcism, but she thought we were all on drugs, final we convinced a priest to come (partly because I had a French cheese he liked in my fridge…). By the time he came, my hair stood completely straight up and I could see weird lumps moving under my skin that were caused by the ghosr/demon possession, I asked my mom to walk the dogs
Dreams like the one you experienced can be quite vivid and intense, often leaving us pondering their meaning long after we wake up. Here's a detailed interpretation of your dream:
Being Alone in Your Apartment: Dreams where you find yourself alone often symbolize introspection or contemplation. This period alone can suggest a need to reflect on your life or current situations. It might indicate feelings of isolation or a desire for independence.
Three Dogs Present: Dogs in dreams commonly symbolize protection, fidelity, loyalty, and companionship. Having three dogs could suggest a strong support system in your life or perhaps a desire for such loyalty and companionship. Dogs provide a sense of security, which contrasts with the fear you felt in the dream, indicating a battle between feeling protected and feeling vulnerable.
The Ghost: Ghosts in dreams often represent unresolved issues or fears. It might symbolize something from your past that is "haunting" you, something you haven't fully dealt with or acknowledged. The presence of a ghost suggests there could be some anxiety or stress in your current life that you need to confront.
The Bulge in the Wall and Forgotten Items: Walls in dreams can symbolize barriers or hidden parts of ourselves. The bulge and the items stored within it could indicate forgotten or repressed memories or aspects of your life that are now surfacing. Rediscovering these items represents remembering or coming to terms with these hidden facets.
The Lamp Candle: The candle shaped like a lamp can symbolize guidance, hope, or enlightenment. However, its breaking suggests a shattering of illusions or loss of direction, possibly exacerbated by external pressures (symbolized by the ghost). This scenario may imply that something you once found illuminating is now causing confusion or fear.
Yelling at the Ghost & The Piece Wagging at You: Confronting the ghost shows your desire to face these fears or unresolved issues. The wagging and poking may signify a realization or a ‘wake-up’ call. It could also indicate a self-critical attitude, where you're being your own harshest judge.
Trying to Call Your Sister: Trying to reach out to your sister suggests a need for support and guidance, though the fact she is unavailable highlights feelings of abandonment or helplessness. The airport setting can symbolize transitions or changes happening in your life or within your relationships.
Possession and the Need for an Exorcism: Possession by the ghost may indicate feelings of losing control or being overwhelmed by your emotions or circumstances. Seeking an exorcism represents a strong need to purge negative influences or feelings in your life. The mother's disbelief may symbolize feelings of misunderstanding from those close to you.
Overall, this dream seems to be a vivid reflection of confronting fears, dealing with suppressed memories, and yearning for support while navigating through a period of stress or anxiety. It indicates a strong need to resolve issues from the past and face any aspects of your life that feel out of control. It might be helpful to reflect on any current stressors or unresolved issues in your life and consider reaching out for guidance and support in waking life.
The French Cheese and the Priest: Using cheese to convince the priest could point towards using what you have at your disposal to seek help or mediation. It shows resourcefulness or perhaps the idea that comfort (represented by a familiar or comforting item like cheese) can help remedy situations.
Hair Standing Up and Lumps Under Skin: Both symbolize heightened anxiety or stress. The hair and skin changes may represent how visibly this stress affects you, showcasing internal turmoil manifesting externally. This piece could further underscore feelings of invasion or intrusion by something unwanted in your life.
Asking Mom to Walk the Dogs: This action can symbolize a need to delegate or seek help to manage your responsibilities or deal with the protective elements in your life (represented by the dogs) while you address the larger issues (the possession).
